The Minister’s Class is a twice-a-month dinner meeting between our ninth graders and the minister. The group typically meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on a school night, the idea being to combine dinner and good conversation on a wide variety of topics. Those topics range from what various religions believe about God, Jesus, and an afterlife to guidelines for making ethical decisions. The group’s “organizing dinner” happens in November each year, to give the ninth graders a chance to settle into their new high school routines before adding these dinners to their schedule. The class ends in early May.
