Aaron Stockwell

Student Minister

Aaron Stockwell is the student minister for 2011-2013. He grew up just a few miles down Route Two in Littleton, MA, and attended the First Parish Church of Groton, starting in tenth grade.

After graduating from Lesley College, with a degree in English and Secondary Education, he spent a summer building hiking trail in New Mexico, and finally answered the call to Unitarian Universalist Ministry. Now he is almost finished with his Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School. In seminary, Aaron served as a spiritual formation group leader for first-year students, on the social media policy task force, coordinator of UU worship, and co-president of the UU Student Fellowship. Aaron has guest preached at numerous UU churches in Central Massachusetts, and was a paid Sunday School teacher at King’s Chapel in Boston, MA. He completed a hospital chaplaincy internship at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Aaron is also serving as the ministerial intern with the Church of the Larger Fellowship and the UUA’s International Resource Office. He lives in Quincy, and enjoys spending time with his fiancée Elizabeth, cooking, and hiking.
