Being Together: Relationship as Spiritual Practice

led by Rich Borofksy, Ed.D. and Antra Borofsky, M.Ed.

Second session — Tuesday April 15, 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Stearns Room

This is the second of two evenings designed as a “tune up” for healthy couples of any age.  The Borofsky’s, who teach workshops nationwide, will share some elegantly simple exercises that help deepen a sense of connection, presence, and compassion.  This second session will build on the first, but even if you didn’t make the first one, feel free to come to this one.  You can attend as a couple or, if your partner can’t come, go ahead and attend on your own and take what you learn home.  There is no charge for this program.  These two evenings, and the evening on Christianity and Buddhism (below) are both underwritten by the Laura Stratton Dewey Fund.

Christianity and Buddhism

led by Donald Swearer

Tuesday, April 29, 7-9 p.m., in the Stearns Room

Don Swearer is a Harvard professor and a Buddhist scholar who will speak and lead a discussion on the dialogue between Christianity and Buddhism.  He will talk about how a Buddhist practice like meditation can find a home in a larger spiritual practice that includes Christian thought.
